Children
Promise Kids Ministry
Promise Kids Ministry is a dynamic and highly interactive ministry where children have the opportunity to discover and experience the presence of God! We are way more than childcare, we partner with families to build a biblical foundation in children that will lead to a deep, forever lasting relationship with our God.
Special Events
Promise Kids Ministry hosts a variety of themed special events throughout the year, giving children a chance to laugh, play, and grow together. At each event, children enjoy engaging Bible skits, interactive games, and plenty of time to celebrate with friends, all while learning about the love of Jesus. These special moments create lasting memories and help build a strong foundation of faith in a safe, welcoming environment parents can feel great about.
These special events include:
- Vacation Bible School
- Camp PK
- Candy Cane Festival
Be sure to ask one of our Promise Kids staff about these events at check-in!

Frequently Asked Questions
Which services offer Promise Kids Ministry?
Children between the ages of newborn to 11 years old (or 5th grade) are welcome to be a part of Promise Kids Ministry during Sunday Services. On Wednesdays, we are available for children, newborn to kindergarten.
The first Wednesday of each month, Promise Kids Special Activity Night is available for K-5th graders.
What about check in?
You’ll find our team ready to greet you at check in! Check in begins 30 minutes before each service and check out lasts for 15 minutes following service end.
We use KIDCHECK as our check-in system. If you do not have a KIDCHECK account, please take a moment and create an account at https://www.kidcheck.com/signup/
What is your security policy?
Our Promise Kids Ministry is a completely secure area. At check-in each of your children will receive a name badge that should be placed on their back, and you will receive a parent/guardian slip. Your child’s name badge and the guardian slip have a unique code, randomly assigned to you at check in for that particular service. At check-out, you will need to present the guardian slip to our Check-in Staff to pick up your child.
If you choose to give your guardian slip to another person then they would be able to pick up your child, as long as the secure code on the child’s name badge and guardian slip match.
Note: if you lose your guardian receipt, please notify our Check-in Staff immediately
Can I have a tour of the Promise Kids Ministry area?
Since our Promise Kids Ministry area is secure, we can give tours after children are dismissed or we can schedule a time throughout the week to give a tour.
If you’re interested in a tour, please let a Check-in Staff Member know and they’ll connect you with our Promise Kids Ministry Director to set up a tour.
My child is nervous, can I stay in their classroom?
Because our Promise Kids Ministry area is a secure area, only our background checked team members are permitted in this area. We have an experienced team and many leaders who are capable of making sure each child is well cared for. If your child needs your attention, we will contact you via text message.
How will you get a hold of me if my child needs me?
You will receive a text message to the number you provide in KIDCHECK. Please be sure to keep your phone handy and check it during service for any communications from our team.
Are your staff and volunteers background checked?
Yes. Regardless of their role, every adult who serves in Promise Kids Ministry has a clear background check.
What do I need to drop off with my child?
Nursery & Preschool: You’re welcome to leave anything your child might need.
Elementary: Children are encouraged to bring a bible.
What if my child has allergies?
In KIDCHECK please make sure to complete the “Medical / Allergy Info” field. This information is printed on the child’s name tag to ensure your child’s safety upon snack time.
Our Check-in Staff also verbally notify ministry teachers of allergy information to ensure our team is aware.
What is your potty-training policy?
Parents are asked to send children in a pull-up if they are in the process of potty training. Our ministry staff will take children to the restroom once an hour, unless asked by the child.
Our potty-trained definition: We describe potty-trained as any child that the parent can drop off without any special instructions regarding taking the child to the bathroom.
What is your sick-child policy?
Children are too sick to attend Promise Kids Ministry when they are experiencing the following symptoms or have received the following diagnosis by a nurse or physician.
- Vomiting or diarrhea that has occurred within the past 24 hours
- Fever above 99 degrees (without medicine) within the past 24 hours
- Bad cold/cough (persistent, deep-sounding cough, green snot)
- Flu / COVID
