Have you ever been in a meeting at work where everything inside you resisted what was happening? Have you ever been in a disagreement with your spouse or children and felt unsure how to respond? Scripture reminds us not to be anxious and not to fear.
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
This verse assures us that God is with us; no matter the situation, He is present. My wife and I often say, “He’s in the room.” It’s our reminder that God is with us and still in control. He is there to help us and to give us strength.
In the times we are living in, there are many reasons to feel dismayed, but remember: He’s in the room. When your finances aren’t where they should be — He’s in the room. When life comes against you in a negative way — He’s in the room. It is important to remember that He’s in the room — but we also need to make sure we are in the room.
Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
We have become accustomed to sleeping in on Sunday mornings, grabbing a cup of coffee, and watching service online. While online services are a blessing — especially if you are unable to attend in person or do not have a church home — there is something powerful about being physically present. If you can be in the room with fellow believers and with God, you should be.
There are several upcoming events at Lord of Hosts Church that you do not want to miss such as the Men’s Breakfast, the Woman, You Are Anointed Conference, and later this year, the Opening the Heavens Conference. These gatherings are opportunities to assemble together, encourage one another, and grow stronger in faith — together.
Whatever you are facing today, remember: He is in the room with you, strengthening and helping you. And He is in the room at Lord of Hosts Church every Sunday and Wednesday. Come build relationships, grow in faith, and encourage one another.
