WOW! Our annual Opening the Heavens Conference is just around the corner. I am so excited for what God is going to do this year. God has been speaking through Pastor Hank about a supernatural shift that is coming and that it will be swift. Things will begin to accelerate. While Opening the Heavens is going to be amazing this year, we can’t just show up unprepared to receive. I am reminded of a story from 2 Kings 4 about the widow with olive oil. The widow was about to lose everything to creditors, and she asked Elisha what to do: “Elisha said, ‘Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars, Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.’ She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, ‘Bring me another one.’ But he replied, ‘There is not a jar left.’ Then the oil stopped flowing.” (2 Kings 4:3-6 NIV)
In the story, God was pouring out the oil indefinitely, but the lack of jars caused the flow to stop. This was a great miracle, but her lack of preparedness kept her from even more blessing. Did she gather enough jars? Could she have gathered more? The oil would have continued to flow if she had more jars to receive it.
Another parable about oil is in Matthew 25:1-13 and it speaks to us about the 10 virgins waiting for the bridegroom. Five of the women were prepared with oil for their lamps, and five were not. The women that were not prepared missed out on the opportunity to meet with the bridegroom.
Through these two stories we learn that we need to be prepared. We need to prepare for the move of God so that we don’t miss out on it, and so that we can receive all that God has for us at O.T.H. this year. Prepare yourself; get ready to receive all that God will pour into you. Prepare your spirit to receive, and He will pour into you until you can’t contain any more. Plant a seed into the conference, and according to Malachi 3:10 God will pour out a blessing that you do not have room enough to contain.
Listen to what God is saying through Pastor Hank leading up to the conference and prepare to receive all that God is going to pour out. Pray and seek God about how to be a part of the shift and acceleration that is coming. Don’t be unprepared for what God has for you this year. Get registered and be in the room to receive everything God has for you at the Opening the Heavens Conference this year!
