Exodus 14:13-15 paints a powerful picture of trust, action, and divine intervention. As the Israelites stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army closing in, Moses declared (KJV), “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” But the Lord followed with a command: “Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.”
Year 2025 has been prophesied by Pastors Hank and Brenda as “The Year of the Lord’s Fight” — and a “Year of Rest” also. After years of contending and seeing great victories in our nation, many of us are ready for peace. But rest doesn’t mean retreating. It means letting God take the lead in the fight while we keep walking in faith.
Sometimes “going forward” looks like tiny, faithful steps — especially when you’re facing a “Red Sea” moment. Maybe God is fighting for your family, your business, or your health. Your step might be sending a kind word, meeting a practical need, tweaking a business strategy, or simply trusting Him in a new way. Rest isn’t inactivity — it’s moving with peace and confidence, knowing He fights for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) reminds us of God’s plans: “… thoughts of peace … to give you an expected end.” And Jesus declared in John 10:10 that He came to give life “more abundantly.” You’re not defeated — you’re being led forward into greater things.
