Everyone is in a process. Everyone has done their time somewhere. Your history is important to God. Maybe it was a bad time, or maybe it was a good time. But here is the thing, no matter what your past has been, God says, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV).
Do not allow your past circumstances and actions — even the good things — or the things Satan tried to do, stop you from accomplishing what God has for you today. Don’t be married to the past. Yes, your past is a part of you, and it influences your present. But God says He will do a new thing for you.
Has your heart been broken? Maybe you’ve been betrayed by a close friend or a spouse. Maybe a child has broken your heart, or you’ve watched your child’s heart be broken. If you, or someone you love, have been in a nightmare with a broken heart, God will give a new dream. Today I am asking God to give you new dreams and take away the pain of the past. May the very pillow where you rest your head at night be like the hands of God cradling you and giving you a new dream.
Psalm 119:130 NKJV says, “The entrance of Your words gives light, It gives understanding to the simple.” Because God’s word is alive, as you speak it and mediate on it, His word changes your destiny. It causes you to walk out of failure and into the success and destiny God has for you. So let His word settle in your heart today. Know that the Lord is fighting for you, and for your family, today.
