Each one of us has a tongue that we can use to bring life or death by what we speak. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Choose today to speak life! When hard things come, or bad things happen in your life, or your day just isn’t going how you planned, choose to speak life. Our words affect the atmosphere around us and our world. Don’t let the devil make you think that your words aren’t important, and no one is listening. There are demons and angels around us hearing the words spoken and taking them to use for either evil or good.
Now don’t get religious about it, and let yourself feel like a failure, if you say things that are not full of life. We all have those moments BUT be mindful of that and decide to choose life each day. When you realize you’re late to work, and don’t have enough gas to get there, don’t speak negative words, but praise God that He orders your steps daily, and trust Him to work in the situation. When you receive a bill that you weren’t expecting, speak the scriptures that God meets your needs (Philippians 4:19), you walk in abundance (Psalms 65:11), and God provides everything you need (2 Corinthians 9:8), and watch God work.
Declare with me: “Today, I choose to speak life! I choose to speak God’s word, believe God’s word, and expect the manifestation of God’s word in my life today! I decided today to guard my words. Death, lack, defeat, depression, and sickness are not words I speak, but I speak life, health, wholeness, victory, and joy in my life. I am an overcomer and victory in Jesus is mine!”
I pray that as you make the decision to speak life, God’s words, in your life, that you will walk in all that God has for you! You are victorious!
